Grape Varieties Tintilla and Palomino

An incredible wine of power and intensity, but also with lightness and elegance.
Grapes come from Pago Carrascal near Sanlucar. The wine is made using whole-bunch co-fermentation, foot-treading, and a little more extraction than some of Raul's other reds, over a couple of weeks. It is aged in french oak barrels for 8 months before a single month resting in tank, before bottling.

Dark-fruited, plummy damson, bramble berries, adn lots od dark cherry. It has brooding depth to it, intensity, and a slightly richer note of chocolate. The palate is sweetly-fruited, of perfect ripeness, with fleshiness and juiciness. Lotso f stalky tannins add grip, but they're fine, soft, and supple. The acidity is great, adding a core of structure of sappy, taut sinue, holding it all together.

A fine wine to rival great Nebbiolo.
