Meet the Team

We are proud of our specialist knowledge, and combine it with a bespoke and personal approach. We regularly taste all the wines in our portfolio and personally visit the growers we represent.

Our small and communicative team are hands on across all departments, ensuring growers and customers alike get the level of service they require.

Raymond Reynolds

Inspired by family heritage and Portugal’s huge viticultural diversity, Raymond has led the charge for Portuguese wines in the UK for 30 years.

Born and raised in Portugal, Raymond studied Chemistry at Leicester University, before going on to study Oenology at Bordeaux. Returning to Portugal, he became assistant winemaker at Taylor’s Port, before moving to the UK in 1990 and setting up Raymond Reynolds Ltd. He is a member of the Port Wine confraria.




Jackie Mundy

Over many years working in the trade with Raymond, Jax has built up lasting relationships with producers and customers alike.

Although Jackie did once manage a wine bar, a background in secretarial management sees her managing orders and logistics at Raymond Reynolds, ensuring all wine is where it needs to be, on time.




Max Driscoll

Prior to joining the trade Max expanded his love of viticulture and winemaking by visiting vineyards, working vintages, and attending tastings.

This led him to join Raymond Reynolds Ltd in 2014, after a brief stint in wine retail. Max is now responsible for overseeing the portfolio alongside Raymond. He holds the WSET Level 3 (Distinction) and is an Advanced Ambassador of the Wines of Portugal Academy. 




James Hands

James’ enthusiasm for wine started whilst working part-time at Wine Merchant whilst at University, and he has had the wine bug ever since.

James has an extensive retail and bar background, managing various Independent Merchants across Manchester. Now based in London, James is responsible for working with some of our Retail, Restaurant and Broker customers.




Glen Stringer

Previously Glen's time spent with wine had been purely recreational, now he's on the road to making this a professional interest - one glass at a time.

What he lacks in vino-know-how, he makes up for in experience in customer support, client liaison, and events organisation accrued over a frantic career. Glen is most likely who you'll reach if you call the main office. He'll be happy to process any orders or help with any queries you may have.
