Grape Varieties Old-vine field blends
A very interesting wine, made from an old field blend vineyard high in the upper Douro mountains.
It's half red and half white grapes, harvested all together and co-fermented. Whole bunches means a little carbonic maceration, followed by foot treading. Slow fermentation finished off in french oak, with a further 9 months of ageing leaves a wine of elegance and complexity.
Complex fruit flavours, earthiness and minerality. Fresh acidity, textured palate, and a long finish.
Only 900 bottles produced.
