PORTUGAL

North and East of the Douro valley are the rugged highlands of Tras-os-Montes. A region forgotten by may due to it's history of making tough, rustic wines.

More recently, lead by a few pioneers, this region is slowly being revived by hard-working prospectors, making the most of the less obivious gold nuggets that can be found here, if you know where to pan.
