Grape Varieties Alvarinho

Mosto Flor literally translates as the 'flower of the must'. Soalheiro use this as a way of describing that they have selected a small amount of what they feel is the best of what the grapes give them.

This wine was born from an idea from one of the winery workers. When pressing the grapes from the vineyards whose juice would normally go into Soalheiro's Granit wine, someone tasted the very first drops of free-run juice and noticed that it was particularly high in acidity and minerality. It was decided to keep a small volume of this free-run juice seperate from the rest to see what wine would grow from it, Mosto Flor was born!

To celebrate this ingenuity from their team, Soalheiro decided that they would produce a label from all their winery staff. Each person has written the name of the wine and therefore there are 44 versions of the label, with the names of personnel responsible for each on that label.
