Grape Varieties Mencia (Jaen)

This  wine comes from, and is named after, Cantariña's main vineyard. It's a picture perfect hillside location, with a little white building and a few pine trees atop the hill. It's North facing, which gives the wine a little lift in terms of freshness and vibrancy.

Although mostly Mencia, the vineyard contains a small proportion of other grape varieties, including some white. These add to the characteristics and complexity of the wine. Lovley dark, plummmy fruit, with some wild berries and florals.
