Grape Varieties Castelão

Quinta do Piloto's Reserva is a selection of their best wines, made from their oldest vines planted on the sandy soils around Palmela. They select the wines with the best structure and age them in french barriques for at least 1 year, usually 18 months, and then keep in bottle for at least a year before releasing from the winery.

A concentrated, old-school version of Castelão, with heaps of complexity and spice. Cedar and leather notes alongside dark plums and cherries. A perfect pairing for a special meal of big flavours.
