A Quick tour of Raymond Reynolds Ltd – The Company
Raymond Reynolds Ltd was established 16 years ago to supply the cream of Britain’s wine trade with the most fascinating single estate wines from Portugal. Whilst Dirk Niepoort’s extraordinary ports and Barbeito’s unique Madeiras make up quite a slice of all business, unfortified wines from Portugal are certainly on a roll in the quality independent sector at the moment. Additionally, we also distribute Portugal’s top (organic) olive oil, England’s Nyetimber Vineyard, the breathtaking sherries of Bodegas Tradicion and most recently Tuscany’s Ampeleia.

We are currently a team of three, with 30 collective years with the company.

Raymond Reynolds, Chairman
Raymond was born and brought up in Portugal, but studied oenology at Bordeaux University, before returning to join Taylor’s Port, latterly as Senior Winemaker. In the late 1980’s he moved to the UK, establishing RR Ltd, but is still involved in making award-winning wines in Portugal (currently at Quinta de Macedos).

Jackie Mundy, Office Manager
Jackie looks after the administration of RR Ltd from the office in the Peak District. She deals with all deliveries and invoicing, as well as movement of goods from Portugal (and now elsewhere). Jackie has had two spells with RR Ltd; previously doing much to establish the company’s success in its early days, and has been back full time since 2003.

Danny Cameron, Director
Danny joined RR Ltd 8 years ago from a background in luxury hotels and latterly as a wine merchant. In addition to looking after most of the company’s sales and marketing, he was also the founding Chairman of the Association of Portuguese Wine Importers (2004-2006), and was short-listed for the Drinks Business ‘Man of the Year’ Award in 2006.

João Marques, Sales Manager (based in London)
João is RR Ltd’s most recent member of the team, joining in 2006. João hails from Northern Portugal, from a family of restaurateurs, and moved to the UK in 2003, where his work as a sommelier included spells with Gordon Ramsey, and more recently establishing the acclaimed wine list at La Cave.
